These are poetry drafts. I consider all my poetry in a constant state of drafting, some with revision ongoing, others merely gathering dust. Some have been published but will still be considered drafts.

N.B. When these posts were imported I noticed some of my reblogs also got pulled in. It should be ovious from the contents that they are reblogs from other writers. I am in the process of removing those posts.

PENDULUM SWINGS

I need a woman
to counter the
pendulum swings
through thick and
thin and the joys of
Karmic delusions
I beg you
reveal yourself
already

CRACKS

The little
me, the mini
me and tiny
me, so rarely
appreciative,
I give up
on them and
me

GO STAND BY THE WAYSIDE

go stand by the wayside
beneath the broken lamp
go in solitude
stand in silence
remain as midnight pass
when moons appear
‘twixt pillars of glass
close your eyes
hold your breath and
count the hour
release you thoughts
expand your mind
embrace the moment
under the stars
then follow the guidance
of your beating heart

Untitled (5392)

How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on, when in your heart, you begin to understand, there is no going back? There are some things that time cannot mend. some hurts that go too deep…that have taken hold.

J.R.R. Tolkien, The Return of the King

NO FRIGHT

Night oh night
The stars are bright the moon’s alight but not in sight
Fright, no, not tonight

Battered and bruised
Where?, they say, we don’t see a scratch
Where have I been
You haven’t been seen
Since autumn rain when the leaves faded away

I cannot see
I hear no sound
Of traffic passing underground
A tunnel long, no light in sight
Unstrap me now
Be gone my fright
Wake me up already
At last it’s night
No fright
Tonight
