silently ignore the signs

turn the other cheeks

into the wind or sun

and pretend my

aging process stopped

along with the

free lunch long ago

the rotting teeth and

crackling feet with

aching knees

at midday

sitting down

the bleeding SURPRISING

junctions passed but never

taken

turning back a

constant matter

signs to some

of fading weather

but I just stick my

head in the sand

meant to
