PRECIOUS SECRETS

I looked into the crystal ball
a mad eye stared
right back at me
I opened my mouth
so slight
scared to let my breath
escape
the fog so clear
the whispering wind
fearless demons
roamed within
the shadows hide
what not to see
precious secrets of
life-to-be

FORGING BONDS

Forging bonds

immaterial, a

volcanic eruption

of the soul,

the divine hand

whipping the

interstellar cream – hard

TOMORROW MAY STILL COME

No

I’m too tired to live fast

No

I’m too old to die young

No

I won’t be a beautiful corpse

But

Make me a dream

With

Stars and a unicorn

And

Wrap me up warm

In your

Loving embrace

And

Tomorrow may still

Come

LIQUID DEATH

She sometimes falls
into the alcohole.
Deep and dark and
wet, trying hard to stay
afloat whilst gulping
the liquid death.
Knowing all to well
that the bottomless pit
offers nothing but sorrow,
guilt and regret. Though
she tends to forget.

THE RIVER OF TIME

I let opportunities
pass
floating slowly by
on the river of time
of which I play no part
just observing
them
among the rest of
the debris

PEEVISH

I’m leaking
from holes I
didn’t know
existed.
Patience
once abundant
now nearly
depleted.
When dried,
crumbled and
brittle, the tiniest
of sparks
wreaking
havoc in me –
the dust
never settling.

ESSENCE OF GRACE

detach the cord
feeding the stars
black as blackest
night behold.

winter solstice
turning tides
surfing waves of
tomorrow’s delight.

trace the grey
in clouds above
none be found
darkness abide.

hand in hand
desire ablaze
harbouring the
Essence of Grace

A SAFER SHORE

We Barged once
On canals like
Veins through The Fens
In Silence bar
The Engine and
The Rows
Stuck at night
Rescued but
Never quite right
Wanting more
Dreaming
Hoping
Wishing
for a safer shore
